This quaint studio, 1 bathroom is the perfect spot for your Mammoth getaway…Winter or Summer and is in one of the best locations! The home has been updated with slate tile throughout the entrance, bathroom and kitchen, new mattresses and TVs. Cozy up in the living area around the gas fireplace and relax watching a movie on the 60" flatscreen SmartTV. The kitchenette features a full-size fridge, stovetop, microwave, and oven (please note: The home does NOT have a dishwasher). There is even a small private gas grill on the balcony so you can cook at home, or walk down the block and dine out at The Village. The full bathroom has also been updated with a jet tub and features a shower/tub combo with an additional separate vanity area for use while the bathroom is occupied. There is a Queen bed in the living area as well as a pull-out sofabed. Ground level entrance makes this home easily accessible. This unit sleeps a maximum of 4 people, no pets and no smoking. Conveniently located across the street from a shuttle stop to take you into town and local restaurants. Just a few steps away from the complex amenities were you can sit and make memories with your friends and loved ones. The home comes with two outdoor unassigned parking spaces. The Mammoth Estates complex is conveniently located one block to The Village and entrance to the Village Gondola. Stay close to all the action in The Village without the hustle and bustle. The complex offers outdoor parking, a year-round hot tub, sauna, pool (Summer only), public gas grill, recreation room, and laundry facilities. All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, Pilates and cycle studio and more.     I had a very nice 3-night stay in this Mammoth Lakes studio. The location is very convenient, and a short walk to the village and gondola. The unit has everything you need with a full kitchen, stocked toiletries, a fireplace operated with a simple thermostat, and a comfy queen size bed separated by a small privacy wall from the rest of the space. I was traveling solo, but this could easily accommodate a small group with the sofa bed.

    One concern I had was with a foul odor that I noticed immediately upon check-in. I ended up buying a scented candle the very next morning, borrowed a book of matches from the front desk, and had the candle lit anytime I was home. By the last day I had determined that the smell was coming from the kitchen sink, as I would occasionally see water and other waste material backflow, possibly from the unit above. I would encourage management to address this plumbing issue.

    Other than that, I had a great stay, and would certainly book again!

    Great location, we could walk to many restaurants in 10-15 minutes and the village gondola base was only 10 minutes away. The space is perfect for 2 people. The kitchen had everything we needed. However the condo needs some attention. The mattress was broken down and saggy in the middle. The toilet either leaks or has so much tank condensation that water puddled on the floor. The tub drain is very slow, and don’t plan to use the jet tub. The water heater is too small to fill the tub with enough water to use it. The jets themselves were very dirty.

    We had an amazing time on the mountain. The unit was clean. However the unit has no safe way to vent fumes from the gas range which is incredibly dangerous. Especially given the entire building is covered in snow. The unit was like being in a dungeon with no natural light due to the amount of snow. No fault of the property but perhaps guests should have been warned. You need to fix the lack of hood in the kitchen that is a code violation.

    We snagged a last min. reservation, just needed a small, comfy space. Studio is Tuscan style and comfy. I loved the pool! It is located in a great spot, could walk or bike places. It could use some updating on Kitchen wear but management company was responsive to our needs. I'd stay there again!

    Overall, it was a nice place. Location is great. I had 2 minor issues and 1 big one. The big one is the smell. I think it’s from the carpet. It’s got that old musky smell when you first walk in. That just makes the whole place feel cheap. The other issue was the iron headboard. It made so much noise. Get rid of it or replace it. Everyone will thank you if you do. The last small issue is that it’s dark. I stayed with 2 grown kids and had no problems. If my wife was with us, the smell would’ve been an issue. I found value in the location and liked the fact that I didn’t have to stay 3 nights.

    This ground floor unit has parking a few steps away. My family was able to walk to the village gondola in about 5 minutes. That’s a huge value on its own being that parking at the lodges can be challenging. The unit was really clean with some apparent updates to the bathroom.
    Two items kept this from being a 5 star review. The mattress is a canoe and the bed frame squeaks with any movement. Also, you get about 7 minutes of hot water in the shower. So, it took a couple of hours to have the 4 of us shower
    Overall, the cleanliness and location of this unit is fantastic. I would stay here again.

    This is an excellent studio condo. My wife and I, and our 2 small children enjoyed our stay. I have one recommendation. The mattress on the queen master bed needs to be replaced. There is a depression, or "hole" in the middle. My wife and I would naturally roll into each other in the center while sleeping. I suspect it's an old mattress which is just worn out after years of use and needs replacement. I will be staying there again in February. -Tony R
